Hello just thought I would report the porgress of the 1973 850 black tulip (very dark purple) heritage reshell. I brought the original car in 1998 and I have always wanted to build my own mini. Well its the third and hopefully the final year of my mini Mayfair project.
We have recently brought her out of the garage and have started work on the front end. Dad has worked so hard on her, he only has weekends and the weather permitting. This week we have made a start on the front end, and realized how time consuming it is to get every thing aligned, but it has to be right. my jobs have been tidying the inside and rust proofing .

Next Tuesday i have a re-sprayer...

My Monte Carlo

This is my Monte Carlo at the L2B 2005. It looks quite innocent but below that shiny black paint is Rovers go at building an eco
friendly car by only using a large block of Weetabix.
It will be fixed and will get on the road.

A great show met some old friends and a lot of new ones which is what makes mini owning so great.
Only down to the whole weekend for me was some pond life stealing my nearside wing indicator, Christ if they are that hard up i would have bought them one.
None the less a really big thank you to everyone for making it such fun.

Our Mini is coming along very nicely, no photos, we are keeping it under wraps, (and i dont know how to do it !).
It might be ready for the darling buds of may show, but we dont want to rush it. And no Mark you cant have the engine!!

no mot
needs a respray
need floor pan
new carpet etc
has twin exhaust
deep dish alloys
leather seats
so now the mini mission begins
